Cooked generally on special occasions, Bade (Black gram based fritters) are traditionally made in a much loved donut shape and are generally had with staple meals or as a snack. The preparation requires a lengthy process of crushing the lentils (split black gram/Urad daal) into a semi-ground powder which is then marinated and mixed with authentic spices.

Our premixes are prepared from traditional ingredients and spices to bypass the initial preparation.  Pour the premix into a bowl, add water, mix well and fry to enjoy the crispy golden-brown fritters, best accompanied with friends and family over a cup of tea.

  • Authentic Taste: The Bade mix is made with high quality raw material and choicest indigenous spices to give you a hassle free cooking experience.
  • Ease of Cooking: Prepare the dish in 3 easy steps. Mix the content with water, 2 tbs oil and rest the batter it for 10 mins, Prepare small donut shape pieces and fry in hot oil till golden brown

    Easy to Cook, Great Texture

The nuggets puff up beautifully when fried, and the taste is just right. A great addition to my pantry.

    Good but different

There base were good however texture not as soft as the traditional medu wada we are used to.

hey karthik, thanks for sharing. The bade is different from the medu wada - this is a traditional snack from the himalayan areas - expect the grinding to be course and the final product is cruchier and crisper than their southern counter parts.. Hope you like this variation of the Wada / Bade
